Becker's Spine Review reported on the October 14 meeting of the Becker's Spine + Orthopedic Advisory Board, where surgeons and practice executives from health systems and independent groups discussed CMS's proposed 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and its 50% cut to certain office visits billed on the same day as a procedure. Dr. Shannon Carpenter, a member of the board, raised what the productivity push is costing surgical training.
